The action plan template consists of three sections: (1) summary of institutional strategic objectives, (2) self-evaluation and gap analysis summary, and (3) action plan.
The action plan will build on the self-evaluation exercise by identifying which principles and enablers should be prioritised to realise the higher education provider’s KE vision. The provider should draw on the gap analysis and translate these gaps into actionable steps.
HEPs are required to outline:
The extent to which the HEP meets the principle
How the HEP intends to improve upon the gaps identified in the self-evaluation exercise
The top five priority actions from across the eight principles
Examples of good and innovative practice(s) that demonstrates how the HEP meets the principle
The timescales for implementing the relevant improvements
Identification of whom in the provider is responsible for the top five priority actions
