Higher education providers will initially be invited to ‘sign up’ by agreeing to the aims and principles of the concordat. The principles can be found in the concordat. They can then also sign up to participate in the development year.
A letter will be sent to heads of institutions asking them to publicly adhere to the principles and sign up to the development year, if desired. Ahead of this, we will be engaging with the sector, including KE practitioners, more broadly and will inform them of when the letter will be sent out as things develop. This will take place in October 2020.
Providers in England who have signed up to the development year will then carry out a self-evaluation exercise and produce an action plan that will be evaluated but not published.
